Location Winnipeg MB, Canada Owner/Architect/Consultants/Builder Assiniboine Park Conservancy/Number 10 Architecture/Portico Group Completed 2014 Photography Sound Art, No.10 Main Entrance - Assiniboine Park Zoo As part of the new Journey to Churchill exhibits and renovations to the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg Manitoba, a new main entrance and gift shop greets visitors to the zoo with a bright and airy atmosphere that hints at the diverse culture, landscape and wilderness of Canada’s north. Video installation includes mounted flat panel screens for advertising and ticket pricing. The installed audio system in both the entrance way and the gift shop has been designed to amplify atmospheric music and sound FX, audio for video playback on greeting screens and local, global, courtesy and emergency announcements.
